You will pass the village of Monte on the way up to the viewpoint at Pico do Arieiro, Madiera’s third-highest peak, with an elevation of 5,937 feet. At the top, admire the beautiful views and landscapes. On a clear day. visitors can often stand and look down at the clouds. You will then head to the village of Santo da Serra, and stop for a light refreshment. Finally, return to Funchal via the resort town of Machico, and visit a wine lodge in Funchal to sample some local blends before returning to the pier.
