Lace up your hiking boots for this active half-day excursion! Begin with a short walk through the city, passing along the fortress of Bergenhus with the old Coronation Hall. You will also see the beautiful old aged buildings that make Bergen an UNESCO World Heritage City. After, you will head over to the funicular, a cable railroad that moves people up steep slope safely. Board your brightly colored funicular car for the scenic ride up to the top of Mount Fløyen, and spend about 3 hours on a guided hike through lush woodlands while admiring panoramic views. Your tour will take you through many gravel roads, mountainous forests, and down to Skomakerdiket, a calm small lake. You will then head uphill and reach the main road of Blåmansveien. Take in stunning views of the fjord with its multitude of islands, this view even allows you to look further out into the North Sea. Weather permitting; you will head up the Rundemansvegroad, leaving the trees behind to reach the highest point at some 1,800 feet. You’ll then take a well-deserved break to admire the view and breathe the refreshing natural air. After this amazing tour, you’ll retrace your steps back down the mountain.
