Enjoy a scenic cable car ride from Mount Ulriken into the city of Bergen, Norway while capturing breathtaking, panoramic views of the fjords, islands and city below. The city of Bergen, Norway is proud of its cable car system, which ascends over 2,100 feet above sea level in only a few minutes. Its highest point is above the city tree line, offering you a 360-degree view of the entire Bergen skyline. A short ride by motor coach takes you to the Ulriken Cable Car entrance, where you’ll make the five-minute ascent to the top of Mount Ulriken, the highest point in Bergen. During your time at the top, refreshments and snacks will be served as you capture photos or even take a short hike around the top. After descending back to the city via the same motor coach, you'll proceed on a short drive to a replica of Fantoft Stave Church, originally built in 1150 but later destroyed in a fire in 1992. This replica of Fantoft Stave Church was built using timber from the northern Bergen area of Sognefjord, and remodeled after the construction from the Middle Ages. After this, you'll return to the pier and end the tour.

NOTES

  • There is an approximate 200 yards walk over uneven surfaces to the cable car.
  • The cable car may be closed on short notice in event of high winds.
  • Visibility from the top of Mount Ulriken may be obstructed by fog or low clouds. Visibility cannot be guaranteed.
  • Comfortable shoes and a waterproof windbreaker are recommended.
